Abstract: In this paper, the existing data on precipitation and water level in Red Lake, one of the karst lakes near the town of Imotski, were analyzed. Therefore, to better understand the hydrogeological functioning of the lake, an analysis of the obtained quasi recession curves (QRC), based on the available data of the measured water levels during the period from 28 September 2013 to 20 March 2019, was carried out. The master recession curve (MRC) was obtained using the Adapted matching strip method, the Tabulation method and the Petras method. The dominant hydrogeological mechanism was identified using quasi recession coefficients, which define the ratio between recharge components of groundwater and direct runoff.
